Vuurzee started with a simple observation.

Our founder grew up surrounded by gastronomy. His mother trained many of the leading chefs, so the world of taste, aroma and food pairing was part of daily life. Years later, while dining in top restaurants, he noticed something missing. Enjoying a beer with fine dining simply wasn’t an option. Sommeliers rarely considered beer a serious partner for gastronomy. The carbonation was too strong, the bitterness too dominant, and the bottle itself didn’t belong on a fine dining table. Yet he believed that certain dishes could shine even brighter with beer than with wine.
